Terms and Conditions

Returns, Exchanges & Warranty

These terms apply to all purchases from the GQB website and our stores in South Africa. Placing an order means you agree to them.

Refunds (within 10 days)

• Contact us within 10 days of purchase at info@gokartsquadsbikes.co.za, with your invoice number and the reason for the return. We’ll reply with instructions.
• New and unused, in the original packaging: you get a refund less 10%.
• Used but still sellable (within 30 days): we buy it back at up to 25% off the invoice price. We can’t buy back used items that are damaged.
• All tags, labels and accessories must be returned with the item.
• If we gave you free shipping, the delivery cost is taken off your refund.
• Return shipping is for your account, or you can drop the item off at our Benoni store.
• Courier and assembly fees can’t be refunded.

Exchanges (within 30 days)

• You can exchange within 30 days of your invoice for an item of the same value or more.
• New, in the original packaging: a fee of up to 10% applies.
• Used but as new: up to 25% is deducted.
• Shipping both ways is for your account, or you can return and collect the item in person.
• Courier and assembly fees are deducted.
• Bikes and quads are exchanged at our Benoni store, where our mechanics inspect them first.
• Used helmets, gloves, goggles and other riding gear can’t be exchanged, for hygiene reasons.
• Email us with your invoice number. Photos or a video help us process it faster.

Damaged or faulty on arrival

• Tell us within 7 days, with photos and a short description.
• Send the item back and we’ll cover the cost of sending the replacement to you.
• After 7 days, shipping both ways is for your account.
• We’re not responsible for damage in transit if you used your own courier.

Warranty

All warranties are carry-in: you bring or send the item to us at your own cost. They cover normal recreational use only.

To keep your warranty valid, the product must be serviced and maintained on schedule, as set out in your user manual. Please keep proof of your services.

Petrol models

• 2-stroke engines: 30 days. 4-stroke engines: 6 months.

Electric models

• Chargers: 60 days. Batteries: 90 days. Motors, switches, gauges and plugs: 6 months.

Not covered:

• Commercial use, including rentals, hire and business use.
• Products that are not up to date with their services and maintenance.
• Wear-and-tear parts, such as brakes, pads, cables, tyres, tubes, clutches, batteries, starter motors and pull starts.
• Abuse or stunt riding.
• Water or liquid damage, power surges, overcharged batteries, and the wrong fuel or oil (or none).
• Incorrect assembly. Online purchases must be assembled by a qualified mechanic or bike shop.
• Courier costs for warranty items after the first 7 days.

Diagnosis fee: after 30 days, a labour fee of R385 (small models) to R770 (large models) applies to diagnose a fault. Parts covered by the warranty are free, but labour is charged.

Battery tip: charge only for the time in your manual. Never charge overnight, and keep the battery out of direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area.

Shipping & Insurance

• Shipping insurance is optional and costs 2.5% of the item price. It isn’t included in free shipping.
• Without insurance, any loss, damage or theft in transit has to be taken up with the courier directly.
• We only ship items in their original box, because couriers won’t take assembled bikes.

Online prices

• Online prices are box prices: the item arrives partly assembled.
• In-store assembly is charged at our workshop rate.

Clearance & discontinued stock

• These items can’t be refunded or exchanged. They carry a 30-day warranty, excluding wear-and-tear parts.

Workshop (Benoni store only)

• Workshop rate: R385 per hour, excluding parts.
• Strip and quote: R385 to R770.
• Online customers need to use a qualified local mechanic or bike shop.

These terms may be updated without notice. Errors and omissions excluded.
